The H2 pressure broadening and shift coefficients have been measured for H2O absorption line at 694.38 nm corresponding to the transition 4(14)-5(15) of the 000-103 band. Experimental results indicate that the pressure behavior of the H2O absorption line center shift deviates from the linear one at H2 pressure above 450 to 500 torr. This has not previously been observed for any mixture of H2O vapor with atomic (Ne, Ar, Kr, and Xe) or molecular (N2, O2 and air) gases.
