An analysis is conducted of 0.3 arcsec-resolution VLA maps of an absorption line of methanol and another of OH toward the compact H II region W3(OH). It is found that the emission observed toward W3(OH)/(H2O) arises from three compact molecular regions: (1) the methanol and OH maser cloudlet in front of the H II region, (2) a more massive molecular region behind or to the side of the H II region, and (3) the molecular region associated with the H2O maser complex. The first of these regions is falling toward the second, but this motion is slowed by the expansion of W3(OH).
