The variable star BB Boo was discovered in 1964 by Hoffmeister. Meinunger and Wenzel (1968) made photographic observations and proposed a first ephemeris: Max = hel. JD 2,437,823.460 + 0.47275 E. The photographic maxima added to 9 maxima observed visually by 3 Belgian members of GEOS at the Pic-du-Midi, allow the following ephemeris to be precised: Max = hel. JD 2,440,872.715(+/-7) + 0.4727524(+/-9) E (95% confidence interval for the error bands)
