The precise location of telescopes in a stellar interferometer makes position servo necessary. We propose a metrology configuration for synthesized aperture using a fiber linkage with the mixing station. Interference layers parallel to star wave fronts are generated in order to materialize a reference plane. Fringe position sensors generate error signals and drive the telescope position assembly to place the fiber input in a reference star wave plane.
