The neutrino showers from Supernova 1987A detected by the Kamiokande II and IMB experiments are checked systematically for periodicities between 5 and 15 msec, in order to assess the recent hypothesis that an 8.9 msec period may exist in both data sets (Harwit et al., 1987). Many more fits are found for each detector's sequence of events but none stands out sharply, including the 8.9 msec result. The multitude of mediocre period fits turns out to be rather typical for events distributed randomly.
