Origin And Formation Of The Universe, Dark Matter

We show that cold dark matter (CDM) captured in the very first gravitationally bound objects formed in the early Universe has a velocity dispersion small enough to allow individual stars to retain a significant amount of CDM in their interior. If CDM comprises primordial black holes (PBHs) as a minor component, this could have a dramatic effect on the fate of such stars even if PBHs constitute only 10-9-10-8 fraction of the critical density of the Universe, which is consistent with the non-detection of hard gamma-ray emission from evaporating black holes. .
