Results of previous radar observations and prediction of the closest approaches of periodic comets to the Earth for the next 25 years give the evidence of the potential possibility of episodic study of these comets by means of the modern radar system Evpatoria → Effelsberg. However, for the regular study of the multitude of small bodies of the Solar System, a special and substantially more powerful asteroid-comet radar is necessary.
