The shape and orbital characteristics of Phobos, the larger and
innermost of Mars' two irregular moons, are discussed and illustrated.
Also presented are the high resolution pictures of Phobos that were
obtained during the close flybys of Viking Orbiters 1 and 2. The viewing
geometry is also given for each picture.
