Early Universe: Anisotropy, Early Universe: Inflationary Universe
Scientific paper
In the context of the chaotic inflation scenario, the authors study the effects of inhomogeneity of an inflationary universe on nascent pregalactic perturbations. They predict anisotropy in the spectrum of matter-density inhomogeneities in the observable part of the universe. Assuming the most natural physical conditions in the early universe, the magnitude of the anisotropy is of the order of several percent. A detection of the predicted anisotropy could be counted as evidence favoring the chaotic inflation scenario.
