Observations made by fourteen A.L.P.O. members on solar rotations 1803-1807 (June 5-October 19, 1988) are summarized, with special attention given to the morphology and the development of sunspot groups. The values of the International Sunspot Number R(I) and the American Sunspot Number R(A) for these rotations are presented together with the dates of the R(I) and R(A) maxima and minima. For this reporting period, the mean R(I) was 114.5 and the mean R(A) was 115.3; these values are over 70 percent greater than the corresponding values for the previous period (rotations 1798-1802). The highest daily R(I) was 190 and the highest R(A) was 176, both on September 23 (rotation 1807), while the lowest R(I) was 22, and the lowest R(A) was 24, on August 22 (rotation 1805). These values are in sharp contrast to those for the previous period.
