We wish to obtain ultraviolet spectra of several filaments in the southeastern section of the Cygnus Loop as part of a collaboration involving optical, X-ray and radio observers. In particular, calibrated images in eight optical lines make it possible to select the most valuable positions for UV study. We hope to reach a consistent interpretation for data at all of these wavelengths in. order to test theories that we have recently developed for the optical and UV emission of a cloud struck by a blast wave in the intercloud medium.
