Calibration of the reflectivity of solar system bodies requires accurate knowledge of the solar spectrum, specifically as it would he seen by IUE. We propose to combine archival data on some solar analogs with new observations of additional solar analogs to derive a more reliable solar spectrum for use in solar system studies, particularly in our own work on cometary spectra obtained with IUE.
