A search for a seasonal trend for earthquakes in the Hellenic Arc area was carried out considering main, instrumental and shallow (M >= 5.2) as well as intermediate depth (M >= 6.0) events. The seasonal trend was found to be statistically significant (at the 95% level) for M >= 6.0 intermediate depth events, whereas no such trend was found for shallow events.
