Several UV spectra of CH Cygni were obtained by IUE since April 1978, while behavior in the photographic and visual range was followed continuously from immediately after the onset of the active phase. The continuum energy distribution and the emission spectrum indicate that the activity phase started in 1977 is still in progress. Significant variations in the appearance of the emission spectrum with respect to the previous spectra are found, while the continuum remains nearly unchanged.
