The energy distribution and light variations of 88 Her at different phases (quasi normal B and Be-shell) from far UV to visual are analyzed. It is shown that the large decrease in luminosity observed in the visual at the beginning of a new Be-shell (H + metals) phase is even more pronounced in the far UV. On the contrary, when the Be-shell spectrum strengthens, the luminosity increases in all wavelengths, from far UV to visual. It is shown that 88 Her mimics reasonably well (at different phases and according to the magnitude, B or V, at which the fluxes were normalized) the energy distribution of standard models with Teff values ranging from 19,000 to 13,000K and log g = 4, i.e., the energy distribution of normal stars of spectral types B3V to B7V. The agreement between standard models and observations is satisfactory if only one magitude is taken into account.
