This paper discusses properties of chondrules from O- and C-chondrites with respect to their shape, size, and residual magnetization; granulometric characteristics; thermoluminescence and magnetism; and isotopic composition (with particular attention given to O, H, Si, Li, S, Ti, Cr, Sr, and Cd). Also discussed are the differences between the O-type and C-type chondrules. Results are used to determine the basic characteristics of the processes responsible for the formation of chondrules belonging to different chemical groups.
