Periodogram analysis of Saturn images from 1924 to 1965 revealed an 11 year periodicity in Saturn's yellow reflectivity. A periodicity of 7 years was also seen which may be evidence of seasonal variations. Trends in the 11 year peak over the various latitude regions support evidence that a fundamental difference existed in 1977 in the absorbing particle layer, between the south polar region and equatorial zone. It is proposed that the aerospace layers are chiefly responsible for the periodic changes in the yellow reflectivity. The most urgent problem, requiring a solution for Saturn studies, is the identity of the absorbing particles and their photochemical products.
