Scientific paper

Using experimental electron density profiles, expressions have been
obtained for the real height corresponding to a plasma frequency of 0.5
MHz and for the electron density at real heights of 90 and 150 km. These
expressions may be used to define a starting point for the N(h) analysis
of an ionogram containing only an ordinary-mode reflection trace.
