I will discuss the spin-dependence of the Blandford-Znajek effect in the context of relativistic jets. Our recent electrodynamic model indicates that because the strength of the magnetic field near the black hole is spin dependent, the Blandford-Znajek jet power is maximized at intermediate value of black hole spin. I then show how these results are supported by recent observations.
