The solutions to the semiclassical backreaction equations are found for conformally invariant free quantum fields in spatially flat homogeneous and isotropic spacetimes with no cosmological constant nor classical source when the ratio of the regularization parameters alpha and beta is 9/4. For alpha less than 0 a one-parameter family of solutions exists with no particle horizons. They have a final Friedmann stage and the universe expands as if it were matter dominated at late times. For alpha greater than 0 two one-parameter families of solutions with no particle horizons exist and they have a final de Sitter stage. Besides, one of them does not have singularities. The behavior of the solutions is investigated for other values of the parameter ratio. Also, the stability of the asymptotically Friedmann, de Sitter and Minkowski solutions are studied.
