Infrared spectra of SN 1987A in the LMC from 0.9 to 4 μm are presented for the first 180 days after outburst, along with limited 1 - 20 μm broad-band photometry. During this period the spectrum showed P Cygni profiles superposed on a reasonably well-defined continuum, although the latest spectra show increasing structure in the continuum. Line identifications are generally consistent with expectations based on visible-wavelength spectra: lines of H I, He I, Sr II, C I, and Si I. CO may also be present in emission.
