The Ba overabundance detected in the SN 1987A ejecta (Williams, 1987;
Danziger et al., 1988) is intepreted in terms of slow-neutron-capture
nucleosynthesis during core He burning in the (presumed) progenitor
Sk-69 deg 202. The results of nucleosynthesis computations are reported,
and their relevance to the observations is discussed.
