An analysis has been made for solar motion for 128 very faint white
dwarfs of color class b or a. While about 40% of these stars may be
high-velocity objects, it seems definitely indicated that the luminosity
of all of them is considerably lower than that for the ``normal'' white
dwarf of the same color.
