We consider the extraction of the electromagnetic energy from a charged black hole through charged tachyons. The ``generalized ergosphere'' relative to tachyons is defined. It turns out that it is possible to extract energy with 100% efficiency (through reversible process) if the charged source (whether black hole or otherwise) is of finite size. Two explicit examples of energy extraction are discussed.
