Geophysical effects in the regions of severe plasma inhomogeneity due to electrostatic ion cyclotron turbulence are examined. The analysis allows for the anisotropy of collective frequencies of particle interactions and turbulent pulsations. Estimated local transverse electric fields and energy fluxes entering the magnetosphere through the dayside polar cusps are found to be close to experimental values.
