The photometer provides the following optical possibilities: large field viewing, necessary for acquisition of the objects; slit viewing, to be used in combination with the reflecting inclined slitjaws of spectrographs for guiding on the slit; and as main element, an integrating TV system. The diaphragm wheel of the photometer was placed on top of all other elements and inclined by the same amount as the slitjaws of the spectrographs are.
