Scientific paper

The conversion of neutron star to strange star that starts via the phase
transition of neutron matter to two-flavor quark matter is considered.
Making some assumptions on heat transport the rate of conversion and
luminosity of neutrino emission are calculated. Some speculations on
neutrino spectrum are presented.
