For a Schwarzschild black hole or neutron star the exact expressions of the radial functions for the Maxwell equation are obtained. In particular the irregular wavefunctions at infinity are represented by a new type of series called tree series. Some remarkable features are demonstrated: the existence of a rapid oscillation zone near the horizon, the compatibility condition among k and l at infinity.
