Diverse data on the neutron and hard components of cosmic rays are analyzed in connection with cyclic variations of geophysical and heliophysical factors. It is shown that biennial variations of the intensity of the neutron and hard components, corrected and uncorrected for pressure, do not coincide in time. This leads to the conclusion that quasi-biennial variations of cosmic-ray intensity may be due to cyclic changes in the physical characteristics of the solar wind over the entire heliosphere, as well as to temperature and pressure variations of the earth's atmosphere. The tendency to biennial variations of the barometric coefficient of the neutron component is also investigated.
