Interplanetary magnetic field during the period December 1985 - April 1986 was very chaotic. Therefore, its systematic study is very difficult. An analysis of the occurrence of disconnection phenomena in the tail of P/Halley demonstrates narrow association to the coronal holes and sunspot groups. Therefore it can be said that not only the crossing of neutral sheet can cause disconnection events, but also the interaction with solar wind streamers.
