Starting from locally rotationally symmetric perfect-fluid metrics, and by making an appropriate Kerr-Schild transformation, new metrics of the same type are systematically obtained. It is shown that the solution of the field equations can be given explicitly or can be reduced to a simple quadrature. It is noted that the present metrics may be used to generalize the well behaved previously known cosmological solutions, and that many of the Kerr-Schild metrics include special FRW models.
