The star Boss 4870 (alpha = 19h 03m.1, delta = 41 deg 16') is a short period spectroscopic binary of spectral type B2 having a very small range of velocity. The orbit is nearly circular and judged from the small value (0.00019) of the mass function, its orbital plane is nearly perpendicular to the line of sight. The velocity of the system is -21.19 km. per second.
