High-energy neutrinos, which can uniquely identify the production of hadronic cosmic rays and especially probe dense sources, are detectable by the nearly-completed IceCube and the planned KM3Net. We discuss high-energy neutrino emission from powerful extragalactic cosmic-ray accelerators such as active galaxies, gamma-ray bursts, clusters of galaxies and magnetars. We take a view of future prospects for those potential neutrino sources.
