As a continuation of an ongoing LANL simulation project, and in order to investigate the effects of dielectronic recombination on ionization balance and total radiated power, for a wide range of atomic number 10 ≤ Z ≤ 80, but at a density of only ρ = 3×10-4g cm-3, and at a fixed temperature kBT = 1500 eV, the authors adapted an existing LANL code. This code describes the ion charge state distribution for LTE plasmas, using a standard Saha-Boltzmann equation solver. The authors have modified this code in a straightforward manner, to describe a plasma not far from coronal equilibrium.
