A collision between two galaxies has separated out the dark matter and the visible matter in the resulting cluster in such a way that they can be resolved by the combined efforts of the Hubble Space Telescope and the Chandra X-ray Observatory.
Signs of giant gas-planet formation in dusty discs that may hold clues to the formation of the solar system have been detected by a clever spectro-astrometric imaging method that maps how gas in the disc is moving.
