Observations of solar neutrinos have furnished compelling evidence for new physics. However, the quantitative interpretation of these results is limited by the need for more precise predictions of the flux of neutrinos from the sun, which in turn has provided continued motivation for improved measurements of the relevant nuclear reactions. A number of new results have been obtained, including a measurement of the ^3He(^3He,2p)^4He reaction at solar energies.(R. Bonetti et al. Phys. Rev. Lett. 82, 5205 (1999).) This talk will focus on new investigations of the ^7Be(p,γ)^8B reaction using beams of ^7Be, and on the ^14N(p,γ)^15O reaction. The latter is also of interest for estimates of the age of the galaxy.
