The evolution of the spectra of high energy photons and electrons due to the radiative decay of heavy neutrons is investigated precisely, by numerical integration of the Boltzmann equation. The cosmological constraint on the lifetime is derived from the requirement that high energy photons should not destroy light elements which are synthesized in the primordial nucleosynthesis. We conclude that the lifetime of neutrinos with mass between 10 MeV and 1 GeV must be shorter than about 104 s (the upper bound of lifetime τ is approximately given by 1n τ/t*-t*/τ = 1.75 1n (mv/MeV) - 16.8, where t* = 3.4 × 104 s).
