Hydrostatic model stellar atmospheres were used in an analysis of Cepheid variable stars. The model atmospheres were used to investigate the calculation of Cepheid pulsation velocities measured with photoelectric radial velocity spectrometers. This involved the use of synthetic spectra created from the model atmospheres to analyze how the projection factor changes with pulsation velocity, stellar velocity, and various atmospheric parameters. Synthetic colors, infrared surface brightness, and infrared absolute magnitudes were calculated.
