Kip Hodges was named the chief editor of AGU's journal, Tectonics, in 2004. He joined Onno Oncken, the European editor of the journal. Hodges, a professor of Earth, atmospheric, and planetary sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), in Cambridge, said he plans to expand the journal's focus to include the capacity to cover breaking research in the field of tectonics.
