A variety of data, including synthesized HB populations and mean fundamental period plots, are used to obtain helium abundances for RR Lyrae in galactic globular clusters. A low helium content indication is derived for the anomalous Oosterhoff type I globular cluster NGC 4147, and it is found that the high helium abundance derived for the anomalous globular cluster Omega Cen is in agreement with previous evaluations by independent methods.
