Peterson (1978) has claimed that aluminum-27 is overdeficient in very-metal-poor stars. In an effort to examine Peterson's results, the present study involved the measurement of aluminum lines in the metal-poor star HD 184711. The present results disagree with those of Peterson. An attempt is made to explain this discrepancy by a gravitational sorting mechanism or by the presence of systematic errors.
