Black body spectroscopy has been neglected by experimentalists for fifty
years. We propose to apply interferometric methods to black bodies with
the prospect of getting temperature values based on frequency standards
in the range from 90 K and upwards. When applied to higher temperature
sources, the same methods could tell us new things about photons.
