The status report of the James Clerk Maxwell Telescope (JCMT) after its third year of operation is presented. The site on Mauna Kea (Hawaii) does indeed offer conditions for observations at frequencies above 400 GHz for something like 30 percent of the time. The wind, storm and sun protection properties of the enclosure and membrane are reviewed. Pointing accuracy and errors produced by thermal effects are reviewed. An overall surface accuracy of 325 microns rms is found for millimeter wave signals using a 'phase-recovery' technique.
