The implication of the Big Bang theory are examined to study the values of physical constants which are compatible with the existence of life. It is shown that the ratio neutrons/protons and the initial helium concentration are related to the existance of life since in slightly different conditions, with only 4% hydrogen no life would be possible. The importance of the ratio between the weak forces and the gravitational forces is also shown.
