Microwave emission is analysed for a source heated by magnetic dissipation. As the temperature rises and the field falls, the resulting variation in microwave optical depth results in time delays between emission features at different frequencies. A single such source can, however, only explain events exhibiting small delays (˜-1sec) and with lower frequencies peaking later. Continuous production of many such heated regions (multiple kernel model) can, however, explain long delays and produce either advancement or retardation of lower frequencies.
