Radiative Transfer, Scattering

Scientific paper

It is demonstrated that a simple Gaussian quadrature over the scattering angles provides a sufficiently accurate and stable method for evaluating all the angle-averaged redistribution functions Ri(xarcmin,x) (i = I-V). The authors display graphically the functions RII,III,V and discuss in detail the behaviour of the newly calculated redistribution RV(xarcmin,x).
