We report the results of N-body simulations of the early evolution of globular clusters and show how the kinematical properties of clusters emerging at the end of the violent relaxation are affected by the motion of a cluster in its host galaxy and by the host galaxy tidal field. In particular, we discuss the properties and the origin of the internal rotation velocity produced during this stage.
