In this talk, I'll give the current status of the GRAPE-DR project. GRAPE-DR is the next-generation hardware for N-body simulation. Unlike the previous GRAPE hardware, it is programmable SIMD machine with large number of simple pro cessors integrated into a single processor chip. I'll show the current status of the hardware and software development. The first sample chip has been just delivered from the manufacturer and the first prototype board is currently being tested.
