The assertion that quark matter, not 56Fe, is the ground state of matter has surprisingly no striking experimentally verifiable consequences. We speculate on the formation and detection of such matter in cosmic ray interactions, in the early universe, in neutron stars and in cosmic accelerators such as Cygnus X-3.
