Using the crustal ages of Mauk (1977), and after removing the lithospheric cooling effects, new global transfer functions between oceanic geoid and seafloor depth for the 1000-4000 km wavelength range are derived which are systematically 30-40 percent lower than previous values. Admittances are found to be positive, reaching a maximim of about 5 m/km around 2750 km wavelength, and decreasing to about 2.5 m/km at shorter wavelengths. The present results do not exclude the possibility that part of the signal at the 2750 km wavelength is of convective origin.
